Engagement Models
Whether the engagement involves implementation of a commercial product such as Oracle Ebusiness Suite or the custom development of a new application SamaraTech’s team will use an engagement model that best suits our clients needs. We have used three basic models – remote site, on-site and hybrid. The Remote Site model offers significant cost advantages but may not be appropriate if the client’s requirements need significant definition. SamaraTech recommends the On-site model when client business processes, data and requirements have major complexities. The Hybrid model works best when a Discovery Phase in the project plan can adequately define requirements such that a remote team can successfully execute the plan.
REMOTE SITE MODEL
Objective; Take advantage of low cost structure.
Client Requirements: Well documented and well understood.
SamaraTech’s Team: Project Manager at client’s location. Project team remote.
Project Management: Standard Project Plan with Earned Value reporting. Will use either SamaraTech or client’s SDLC. Iterative development process with conference room piloting via web conferencing.
Development Platform: At SamaraTech’s site with clone at client location for testing, training and deployment.
